Gallery flights
('22 - now)
A virtual gallery with physical paintings is often a representation of institutional 'white walls.' Online, paintings are displayed on white walls, and as a visitor, you can walk/look through the three-dimensional rooms. Can this be different? I'm interested in the bridge between the virtual and physical world.
The relationship between the physical and digital world is far from optimal, with power in the digital world driven by commercial platforms, a lack of ideology regarding the design of digital spaces, and the disappearance of physical rituals.
By examining the relationship between the physical and digital worlds from multiple disciplines and placing physical paintings in the digital world, I question the current state of our 'digital' society, starting with:
-
Can the virtual world change the perspective on physical painting?
-
How do physical worlds interact with the digital world?
-
How does the digital world challenge standards in the physical world?
Research is ongoing. Below first work
